Globe by Baedeker's cartographers

Dr. L. L. Boyle has been kind enough to forward this interesting link for an auction on eBay of a terrestrial globe, made in 1921 by the Leipzig firm of Wagner & Debes, who were most famously also the cartographers for Baedekers.

The globe was made for export to Sweden, so the text is, where appropriate, in Swedish. What is most interesting for a Baedeker collector, though, is how very "Baedeker-ish" the mapping itself looks.

The pictures provided by the seller are excellent and an education in themselves. Well worth a visit!
