| News itemsPink covers?14 Apr 2006 Interestingly, there's an auction going right now for a copy of Great Britain 1 (1887), which (quite apart from this being the first edition of Great Britain) is described by the seller as having "Fawn covers with gilt embossed lettering". Now I wonder if this is a very faded copy, or possibly an example of the "pink" cloth binding used for some books in 1889? There's no picture of the cover on the auction page, so I can't tell from that. | |||||||||
