End report on Bassenge auction

Well, there were no huge surprises in the Bassenge auction - except for the OT-Führer West. We don't know who the lucky winner was, as apparently it was bought by an anonymous telephone bidder. (If it is any of you BDKR regulars, please feel extremely welcome to send me a picture of the cover and some description of the book itself - naturally, bidder anonymity will be preserved!)

To the EUR10,000 one would have to add 16% buyer's commission - 22.5% if you buy through eBay, I'm told. So this was quite an investment, especially as, according to the sales description, the book was "Ohne die auf dem Titel genannten 2 Karten und 6 Stadtpläne" - i.e., the 2 maps and 6 plans promised by the title page were not present. (Of course, we don't know whether that's a feature of this copy, or if that's the state in which the book was in fact published.)

Anyway, we need some discussion how to deal with this edition, so I have started a new thread in the discussion forum (here). Please give me some feedback!
