An Easter challenge!

A graduate student in the US has made contact with bdkr.com. She is writing a thesis around a photo album from a trip that was taken from London to Rome. The woman making the trip has annotated the album with quotations from Baedeker's guides. What our student friend is trying to determine is which guides she used and the greater question of how these guides affected the choices she made in her travel plans.

Now, I have been sent a transcription of all these annotations, which you can find on this page. The challenge - if you will accept it - is to work out from the page numbers and annotations which exact editions were used. It is likely they are 1890's editions, and we know they are the English versions of London, Paris, Northern Italy and Central Italy.

Answers by e-mail to the usual address (at the bottom of the page) would be very welcome - first person to find out the answer wins... er, well, great thanks and an honourable mention in dispatches! :-)
