Don't you just hate it when...

....you make a search on eBay for "Baedeker" and it comes up with 150 new hits, practically all of which are from some vandal cutting up old guides and selling the maps and plans separately?

(OK, I will admit - sometimes this is a good way of preserving a very interesting aspect of old Baedekers, when the binding and the rest of the book are beyond repair.)

Meanwhile, there is a good collection of German travel guides here. Not many Baedekers but an interesting lot for collectors of travel guides in general.
