Very substantial site addition

Today I am very pleased to announce that BDKR.com has been extended with a nearly complete rendition of the 24 issues of "Mitteilungen für Baedeker-Freunde", "Reiseleben" and "Reisen und Leben".

With the kind permission of Alex Hinrichsen, and with the indefatigable scanning and proof-reading assistance of Martin Lindig, we are able to bring to you some 200 articles of wide-ranging interest for Baedeker fans, reproduced from the original series, which was published between 1980 and 1992.

Practically all of the articles are in German. There is a basic full-text search facility and an index to the articles. However, the illustrations still remain to be added and there are some articles which will be added later, following hoped-for agreement with the original authors.

The articles can be accessed from this page, and, as you can see, I have changed the main menu slightly to accommodate this super new resource.
