Seasonal greetings

A very Merry Christmas, Yuletide or whatever you like to celebrate around winter solstice time, to all BDKR visitors and supporters!

Here in SE England, we have had some marvellous winter weather for the last week, but all the snow has now melted away, unfortunately. Nonetheless, we are all looking forward to some holidays and a chance to catch up with all the things that don't get done in ordinary working weeks. And maybe some relaxation too! :-)

If you live in or near New York, the James Tissot exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum might be worth a visit - it is certainly somewhat appropriate to the season - and also because of the interesting/funny reference to Baedeker in the FT's review, which is worth reading even if you are nowhere near Brooklyn around New Year.
